Volunteers Needed for Special Events

What would a special event be without volunteers?

These folks help us set up exhibits at conferences. They put the "fun" in fundraising, soap drives, and other events. We depend on our special event volunteers to help make each event a success by promoting the mission of Clean the World. Shifts, age restrictions and volunteer needs are unique to each event. However, the events are always fun, a great way to be involved in our community!

To volunteer for any of these events, please e-mail Rosanna: rkingston@cleantheworld.org.

August 20- 25: Poster Walk Week. Volunteers are needed to distribute poster throughout the city and outlying areas to businesses, churches and organizations. By distributing these materials for Clean the World, you help us stretch our limited marketing budget. These posters are to promote “soaked," an extreme water ski event taking place on beautiful Lake Eola in downtown Orlando. Some of the nation’s top water skiers will compete for cash prizes. "soaked" chose Clean the World as the event's official charity.

August 23 - Annual Service Week at Lake Brantley High School: Volunteers working at the Clean the World booth will assist with greeting and educating visitors about the organization’s mission, upcoming events and volunteer opportunities.

September 6 - Rollins College Changemaker Campus Event: Thursday, September 6, from noon to 2 p.m. Volunteers working at the Clean the World booth will assist with greeting and educating visitors to the booth about our organization’s mission, upcoming events and volunteer opportunities.

September 7 and 8 - "soaked:" An extreme water ski event on beautiful Lake Eola in downtown Orlando. Some of the nation’s top water skiers will compete for cash prizes, and Clean the World is the official charity of the event. For every event ticket sold using the promo code CLEAN, Soaked Orlando will donate $2 to Clean the World.

Volunteers working at the Clean the World booth will assist with greeting and educating visitors about the organization’s mission, upcoming events and volunteer opportunities. Volunteers will be responsible for selling raffle tickets.

Please help us break the Guinness World Record by collecting more than 10,001 new bars of soap. If you come to the event, be sure to bring 20 new, wrapped bars of soap and drop them off at our Clean the World tent. That way YOU can be a part of the world record!

September 20 - Vistana Resort First annual Health & Wellness Week:  The event will take place on September 20 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Volunteers working at the Clean the World booth will assist with greeting and educating visitors to the booth about our organization’s mission, upcoming events and volunteer opportunities.
